Giving Thanks for The Corner

Hard to believe 14 years have passed since this little slice of Chimacum was a vacant auto parts store. Born in a snowstorm, we’ve continued to weather whatever is thrown our way. And you all have been with us every step of the way. Some can remember when there was a table by the window in the store for customers to sit and have coffee. Some can remember when the cold storage was inside the store (what is now the dairy zone) and you had to watch out for staff emerging from the walk-in with local eggs! And who can forget hand-scooped ice cream? (It took years for the calls regarding this topic to dwindle.) Through all the iterations of the space and its crew, it has always been local farmers and artisans imbuing it with their crafts that have made the place what it is, coupled with the charm of the space and the commitment to keeping everything at the highest quality possible. Whether you are a shopper who picks up their lunches for work or someone who gets everything they need for the week here, it truly takes the whole community visiting the hub to keep the business rolling along. We are determined to keep our community eating locally as far into the future as we are humanly capable. We are here to stay, and to quote a prescient-if-polarizing chanteur, we are “never gonna give you up.”
