GROCERY
Level 3 Buyer

Join the Corner Grocery Team as a GROCERY BUYER III. Our buyers work closely as a team to curate local and organic foods and products for the Corner. Each buyer has primary responsibility over their assigned departments, which includes ordering product within store parameters, maintaining a consistent product supply, adjusting purchasing to seasonal fluctuations and trends, and keeping a close eye on inventory and margins.

The person we seek has excellent decision-making abilities, quickly interprets reports and data, maintains accurate inventory, utilizes effective merchandising, and has a deep appreciation for local food systems. Wholesale buying and pricing experience is preferred. Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite preferred. Daily responsibilities include receiving and stocking their sets, reviewing sales and inventory data, placing orders online and via phone, working with vendors and teammates, and assisting the clerks as needed. 

Grocery Buyer III (wage range $24.00-$29.26) has advanced purchasing responsibilities, excellent judgment, and thrives in a collaborative work environment. This is a full time position, 4 days per week, 32-36 hours per week. The schedule will include one weekend day. Benefits include medical, vision, and dental insurance, paid time off, employee discounts, profit-sharing and access to an Employee Assistance Program.

FRONT OF HOUSE
Closing Clerk

Come join the Corner crew as a Front of House clerk! Work with a close-knit team at the center of the action. Responsibilities include cashiering, engaging in a friendly and genuine way with customers, light stocking, tidying, and other store duties. Retail experience in a lively setting is preferred. We’re looking for community-oriented folks who are passionate about local food systems and contributing to the friendliest and award-winning customer service in the county. 

This is a part time position, 21 hours per week, 2:00-9:00 pm (1:00-8:00 pm after the summer). The minimum age for this position is 18 years old. Clerk positions generally start at $18.25, in a wage range of $18.25-$22.25. Part time benefits include great employee discounts, profit sharing, vision and dental insurance, EAP, Paid Time Off, and free coffee and tea during work shifts.

The position involves standing at a cash register for extended periods, bending, twisting, occasionally lifting up to 30 pounds, assisting customers with carry outs, reading a computer screen, and engaging with a steady stream of customers.
