SEASONAL - ENTRY LEVEL
FOOD RUNNER / DISHWASHER

Step into a role for the Corner and our Kitchen as a Seasonal Food Runner and Dishwasher! This is a great entry level opportunity to get some experience working in a retail environment and commercial kitchen. At the Corner, we prep all our grab-and-go goodies across the street in the Finnriver Commercial Kitchen, and bring them over to sell at the store. In this position, you’ll transport our housemade food items to the store and merchandise them on the shelf. You’ll also be responsible for collecting bins and ingredients to shuttle back over to the Kitchen. Once food running is complete, support the Kitchen team with dishwashing by using large sinks to clean kitchen equipment and utensils. Driving is a requirement of the position, as you'll use our store van, “Snickerdoodle,” to shuttle goods over to the store. Some extra tasks and cleanup will be a part of each shift.

We’re looking for someone who works well with others, is reliable and attentive, and has an ability to work steadily and efficiently in a busy environment.

This is a seasonal, entry level position starting at $17.50/hr (in a wage range of $17.50-$21.33), for 12-18 hours per week, 4 to 6 hours a day, Thursday-Saturday. Shifts start at 7:30 a.m. A Washington driver license, clean driving record, and Food Worker card are required.

Seasonal positions are temporary, and will finish at the end of the summer.

SEASONAL NURSERY

Last Call for Nursery! The Nursery Team is hiring for one more part time seasonal team member to share our plant joy with the community! 

Duties include greeting and assisting customers, offering plant and soil recommendations, plant care, staffing the check-out counter, assisting with deliveries and loading vehicles, stocking displays, and keeping the nursery tidy. Previous customer service and plant care experience (gardening, farming, home growing, etc) is a must. This is a physically demanding position that requires standing for the duration of shift, working outdoors and in a greenhouse in all weather conditions, frequent lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.

We’re looking for community-oriented folks who are passionate about local food systems and contributing to the friendliest customer service on the peninsula. 

Excellent communication skills, great teamwork, and the ability to self-direct are essential for this role, which will last through the summer growing season.

Total weekly hours for this position will vary seasonally, approx 20-28 hrs/week, and will include both weekend days. Seasonal positions generally start at $17.50/hr for entry level, or $18.25/hr for candidates with plant or nursery experience, in a wage range of $18.25-$22.25. SEASONAL STOCKER

We’re gearing up for the busy season and bringing aboard Seasonal Stockers. Join the movers and shakers that help make it all happen “behind the scenes.” Stockers work with the Buying team to keep the shelves full and faced every day. Stocking duties include receiving and unpacking shipments, stocking and replenishing the shelves throughout the day, packaging products for retail sale, and maintaining backstock areas. Stockers also help to assist clerks at the registers as needed. Stockers need to love organization, have great attention to detail, and have excellent spatial ability. This is a physically demanding position that requires being on your feet for the full shift, frequently lifting and carrying 50 pound boxes, and climbing ladders. We’re especially looking for community-minded folks who are passionate about local food systems, working closely with teammates, and contributing to our vibrant CCF store culture. 

This is a seasonal part time position scheduled through the busy spring and summer months. The schedule is 21-28 hours per week, and will include one or both weekend days. Hours may adjust seasonally depending on department needs. Seasonal positions generally start at $18.25 per hour in a wage range of $18.25-$22.25. Seasonal part time benefits include great employee discounts, profit sharing, EAP, Paid Time Off, and free coffee and tea during work shifts.

KITCHEN ASSISTANT

We’re looking for two experienced KITCHEN ASSISTANTS. One position will focus on our expanding selection of grab-and-go breakfast goodies. The other position will be responsible for deli production, making sandwiches, wraps, and salads. Duties for both roles will include production, prep for the following day, assisting other team members, and cleanup. We are looking for folks who are passionate about fresh, local ingredients and preparing food for the community with love and attention. 

These are part time positions, 24-28 hours per week, including Sundays. Shifts start at 5:00 a.m.(breakfast) or 6:00 a.m. (deli). Great teamwork as well as an ability to work independently, efficient work habits, good communication skills, and a great attention to detail are all necessary skills for these roles. Experience working in a production kitchen is desired. Positions generally start at $18.25, with a range of $18.25-$22.25. RECEIVING LEAD

Our Grocery Team is expanding! We are hiring an experienced Receiving Lead to join the Grocery Department. Responsibilities include receiving deliveries, stocking, working with buyers to determine daily priorities, doing data entry, and maintaining an organized backstock area. The person we seek is highly organized, has great attention to detail and independent decision making abilities, and is able to easily pivot between physical work and desk work. The Receiving Lead will also delegate to and support stockers, and assist front of house clerks as needed. We’re especially looking for community-minded folks who are passionate about local food systems, working closely with teammates, and contributing to our vibrant CCF store culture. 

Experience as a stocker is required. Essential skills include a comfort level with interpreting reports and data, maintaining accurate records, and strong teamwork. 

This is a full time position (32+ hours per week) with a starting wage of $21.00 in a wage range of $21.00-$25.60. The schedule is for four days per week and will include one weekend day. PRODUCE CLERK

Join a team that is passionate about produce and our local farming community. Help us prep our award-winning produce porch with local organic fruits and veggies, and share our love of produce with the community! We are especially known for our work supporting local farms, but we also work with several small organic farms throughout Washington and with various large organic wholesale distribution suppliers. 

Our ideal produce clerk has produce-handling experience (farm or retail), efficient work habits, and great teamwork. This is a physically demanding position that requires standing for the duration of shift, working in a partially open air environment that includes heat and cold; frequent lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds; and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.

This position is for 3-4 shifts per week, 21-28 hours per week, including one weekend day. Responsibilities include getting the Produce Porch ready for the day, prepping produce for the retail floor, and stocking displays. Produce clerks generally start at $18.25/hour, with room to grow within a wage range of $18.25-$22.25.
