ARE “EWE” COMING?????

Get ready . . . there’re coming up, the 9th annual Jefferson County WSU Farm Tour (Sunday, Sept 18th) and . . . the same weekend, the 3rd annual Olympic Peninsula Fiber Farm Tour (Sat and Sun, Sept 17th and 18th).  Both events are open from 10am-4pm.  The tour is bigger than ever with 18 farms representing fiber, produce, dairy, meat, and shellfish!  I know my strategy will be to do the fiber farms on Saturday and to then to hit the rest on Sunday.

One exciting way to do the farm tour is by bike on the “Tour de Fermes” put together by the Port Townsend Bicycle Association.  They suggest a proposed route and their beautiful maps are available at “the Corner” – free!

And speaking of the corner, we are proud to be the “headquarters” (ou-la-la!) on Sunday for the farm tour.  Which also coincides with the Chimacum Farmers Market at the corner from 10 – 2. It’s enough to make one’s head spin.  We’ll certainly try and be our best that day.

I’ll say it again — “We are so proud to be a part of this wonderful farming community!”  Take this special opportunity to go visit your neighborhood farms.  You’ll be glad you did.  I promise.
