5th Annual Inter-Dependence Day Party — July 11th!
June 12th, 2015 by Katy McCoy

Hard to believe – On July 11th, we throw our 5TH ANNUAL Inter-Dependence Day party. Not to toot our horn, but we’re thinking this 5th time around we’ve perfected the formula. Hope you can make it!

Here’s the drill: The evening gets divided into 2 parts, both totally kid-friendly. From 5-7pm is the “dinner hour” with live music, food carts, and free ice cream, then from 7-9pm is the world’s sweetest bravest most varied talent show.

The Dinner Hour:

The “dinner music” this year will be performed by Bellingham’s “Gallus Brothers” who play country blues, mandolin rags, and other roots Americana. As frosting on the cake they promise “silly and dangerous musical stunts” in an attempt to impress us.

For your dining pleasure, choose between Dented Buoy Pizza, Mama’s Harvest Tamales, Mama Olgita’s Papoosas (Guatemalan Tacos), or Mo Chilli BBQ.  There’s always the option of bringing your own picnic too. Java Gypsy and the Chamber of Commerce will be offering non-alcoholic drinks.

Then of course, let’s not forget dessert – free ice cream cones for everyone!

World’s Sweetest Talent Show:

Feel free to dance, chase each other, do somersaults, or whatever until 7 when the talent show begins. At that point you need to find a straw bale or line up your lawn chair, direct your attention towards our new stage, and be astounded at our community’s impressive talent.

Eighteen five-minute acts of sheer bravery. And guess what? One of those acts could be YOU! A sign-up sheet is on the front door of the store. Come it to sign up or give us a call at 360-427-8483 and get practicing that yodeling!
