If you’re a wine drinker, you better find your way to the Corner to check out our new wine rack featuring the best affordable wines from Washington State.
Heidi Eisenhour, “local food nut” from Port Hadlock, has recently been hired part-time as our official “forager”, and she along with “Tippy”, our haybale snowman (who never melted and has decided to put his safety cone nose to good use) have done a magnificent job stocking our new wine carousel with some delicious and surprisingly inexpensive wines.
Next Heidi puts her attention to cheeses and Tippy is working on beers. Please stay tuned!
If it is low price you are after, we now carry red and white box wines from Badger Mountain (organic and sulfite-free) for only $5/liter! Box wines appeal to many because of their collapsable bladder which keeps the wine fresh in the frig for 6 weeks.
If it is local you are after, you can’t get more local than Whidbey Island Winery’s “Island White”. Not only are the wines made locally, but the grapes, Madeleine Sylvaner and Madeleine Angevine, are grown on Whidbey.
If it is Walla Walla’s famed Rulo Winery wines that you are after, you are in luck, as we are the only place on the Olympic Pennisula carrying them. We are carrying their 2007 Syrca, their 2007 Syrah, and their 2009 Birch Creek Chardonnay.
Thanks Heidi! Thanks Tippy!
