You need to jump on this one as many people (and some dogs) have their eyes on these 10 rounds of cheese being delivered to the Corner on July 2nd. Heidi Eisenhour, Chimacum Corner Farmstand forager extraordinaire, has pulled another veritable rabbit out of the hat this year to bring us one of the most highly sought after and talked about cheeses in Western Washington. Dinah’s cheese, a soft cow’s milk camembert-style cheese of remarkable flavor. And unavailable anywhere in Jefferson County – until now.
The maker of this cheese, Kurt Timmermeister, is a celebrated Vashon Island farmer, chef, and author of “Growing a Farmer: How I Learned to Live Off the Land“. All of Kurt’s cheeses are hand made on his farm, from his own cows he hand milks every day. Chimacum Corner Farmstand is lucky indeed to carry Kurt’s cheese and fortunate to have Heidi bringing in these treasures!
