Mark Your Calendars for the GREATER TRI-AREA SCAVENGER HUNT
On Saturday, October 8th, the Chimacum Corner Garden will be hosting a scavenger hunt focused on local food, farming and the history of the greater Tri-Area communities. Starting at the Corner Garden, hunters will head out to local farms, restaurants, businesses and community organizations throughout the greater Tri-Area to find as many items as they can on their scavenger list. Hunters may be asked to find the locally grown items on Ferino Pizzeria’s menu or take a picture of someone dancing on the Chimacum Grange dance floor.
The Resort at Port Ludlow is one of three grand prize sponsors, offering a one night stay with kayaking, golfing and a cooking class for two. Hadlock Building Supply and the Chimacum Corner Farmstand are each offering $100 gift certificates to their stores. Additional prizes will also be drawn for special categories such as those who bicycled the hunt or posted the most popular hunt picture to Facebook.
The scavenger hunt is free and kid-friendly. Forming teams and carpooling is encouraged. The Scavenger Hunt map will have both biking and driving routes.
Mark your calendars now for a full day of fun on Saturday, October 8th and start pulling together your hunting team. “Like” the Chimacum Corner Garden on Facebook for updates and other free garden events.
