Okay folks, it’s turkey reservation time once again! This year our Thanksgiving turkeys come from Diestel, a 4th generation family owned and operated ranch in California. To get your name on the turkey of your choosing, either talk to Jenna or simply fill out and submit the online form below. We will either email you or call you with a confirmation. Earlier this week, you may have heard we ran out of turkeys. It was true, but we have hunted down some more. TALL GIFT from Wilderbee Farm!

Drive through Chimacum and you’ll notice something new jutting up and interrupting the familiar skyline – a gleaming 36 foot vintage Aermotor windmill!

Casey and Eric Reeter of Wilderbee Farm in Port Townsend generously gifted it to the Corner a couple years ago, and this last month Doyle Yancey of Egg and I Gardens (mechanic extraordinaire) lovingly refurbished and erected it for us.

Corner Seeks Sandwich Maker

Good news for the right person! Our deli department is looking to hire another responsible, detail-oriented hard-working individual with kitchen experience to join the deli team as this department grows. This person will be working both independently and in a team setting to help prepare and package our deli items, including our line of best-selling sandwiches.

We currently need 3 shifts covered (6am-2pm on Sundays and Mondays and noon-4pm on Tuesdays) with additional hours likely available before long. Starting pay is dependent on experience.

Cracker’s Bumpy Ride in New Red Truck!

Looking For Betty MacDonald

It’s been close to 90 years since Betty MacDonald’s brief stint as an egg farmer here in unsuspecting Chimacum. Young, pregnant, and poorly married, she gave it her valiant best, but didn’t last long before hightailing it back to Seattle.
Two decades later, “egged” on by her sister and a creative writing class, she put her humorous egg farming memories to paper and called it “The Egg and I”.
